How we began…

In 1979, Colonel Michael C. Sifton, partnered with the Heart Action Committee of Toronto for the inaugural Polo For Heart fundraiser event.

A celebrated businessman and philanthropist, Colonel Sifton is credited for the revival of polo in Toronto following WWII. An outstanding Canadian, named a member of the Order of Canada and recipient of the the Philip Iglehart Award for exceptional lifetime contributions to the sport of polo.

Today Colonel Sifton’s sons, Cliff, Mike, and Derek, act as Event Co-Chairs. Over $5 million dollars has been raised since the event began for heart and stroke related charities.
